The journey began in 2005 when Danny picked the seat next to Kelly in their high school Math Team class. Even though the two barely saw each other because Danny rarely went to class, but on the few days they were in class together, Danny tried to impress Kelly by teaching her Sudoku and showing off as a star on the Math Team.
It took Kelly a long while to warm up to Danny, partially because Danny went to the University of Michigan for college while Kelly stayed back to finish her senior year. But as fate would have it, Danny and Kelly defied all odds and still ended up together after years of separation, and then followed by years of long distance relationship.
Danny is the best partner in life that I can ever dreamed of. He supports me in every decision I make when it comes to career, family and everything else in life. He believes in me when I doubted myself, and stays strong for both of us when things get tough. Danny always encourages me to aim high, and see life in a positive light.
Ever since our relationship started, I found so much happiness. I am so thankful for everything I have because of him, and I feel so lucky to have someone I love so much. Life is more beautiful with him by my side.
From friendship to relationship to partership, Kelly has showered me with her unconditional love and her kindness.
I love the way she smiles at me everyday, I love the way she caresses my arm when she thinks, and most of all, I love the genuine excitement on her face when we plan for our future!
She is everything I have ever dreamt of and more. I cannot wait to spend rest of my life by her side.

One of Danny and Kelly's mutual friends from that math class got married in 2011. That brought Danny and Kelly back together.
Danny invited Kelly to his good friend Larry's birthday celebration at Bar Basque. Sparks fly, butterflies in the stomach! Danny also stole a kiss from Kelly!
Danny had this super original idea of asking Kelly to be his girlfriend when the clock turns midnight. Fortunate for him, Kelly said yes and the rest is history...
3000 Miles couldn't keep Danny and Kelly apart. They never stopped loving each other, couraging each other and humoring each other. :-D
After years of long distance and countless trips between California and New York. Kelly moved to California to be with Danny and started a new chapter in their lives!
It was the day after Christmas day 2016, Danny and Kelly finally took their long overdue trip to Asia. Kelly didn’t know it yet, but this was not just another vacation. Danny wanted Kelly to meet his Mom in Shanghai to get her blessing on the biggest decision of his life. Thanks to the weeks of planning and months of secrecy, Kelly didn’t suspect a thing. Danny even threw a few curve balls during their time in Hong Kong by casually visiting a few jewelry stores with Kelly, even though he had already purchased the perfect ring for her months ago.
After two weeks of exhausting travelling, Danny had gotten the approval and blessing from everyone and there was only one thing left to do. He wanted to make sure the proposal would be perfect and a complete surprise to Kelly. And with a little help from Kelly’s brother Arnchie, Danny knew exactly what to do.
Two days after Danny and Kelly returned from their Asia trip, Arnchie came to California to visit Kelly. Danny used opportunity and convinced Kelly that they should all go back to Sierra Mar, their very first date spot in California, for a casual lunch. Kelly was reluctant at first, but she didn’t want to disappoint her little brother, so she eventually agreed.
At last! On January 10th, 2017, Kelly really took the whole “casual lunch” thing to heart and decided to wear her hoodie and her sneaker. But to Danny, she was as beautiful as ever. After a gorgeous 90-minute drive and a short hike to the top of the hill via a private wooden deck path, they have once again reached the end of the continent, overlooking the great Pacific ocean. Thanks to their friends at the Sierra Mar, the group had their own private window seating, the service was impeccable and the food was delectable. Unfortunately for Danny, he was not able to taste anything but the anxiety. At last, the table was cleared and Danny’s special dessert menu was served. Kelly was so focused on the Green Tea Mochi Ice Cream, she completely missed Danny’s proposal on the menu! By the time she realized this was not a typical menu, Danny had already gotten down on one knee next to her. With adrenaline rushing, hands sweating, voice cracking, Danny can barely complete a full sentence. But as Kelly staring down at the love of her life getting nervous for the first time in their relationship, she can barely hold back her tears while Danny struggled to finish the touching speech. And finally, it happened. With all eyes on Kelly, Danny took a deep breath and asked “Will you, Kelly Qu, do me the honor and be my permanent girlfriend?” O.O
